Biography
Barry has 25+ years senior leadership experience mostly with a global plc, responsible for €100m+ P&L and 4,000+ employees.
Now as MD of the family-owned Mount Charles Group, Barry leads multiple businesses including, catering, cleaning, vending, and events. Under Barry’s leadership since 2018, the group has continued to develop, acquire, and diversify throughout the Island of Ireland, with 2,200 employees.
Election Statement
I am keen to join the Council to play an active role in networking, sharing best practice and to represent member interests by influencing Government Policy, to make Dublin a great place to work, live and visit. I have considerable international business experience, strong sectoral expertise and have previously served on IoD and charitable sub-committees and councils for more than a decade.
I am passionate about enhancing the business environment in Dublin. I believe this requires an ambitious and entrepreneurial approach from Government on Budget Policy, real progress on sustainability and most importantly a very clear strategy to develop, attract, and retain the very best local and international talent to enable our businesses to continue to grow and thrive.
