Martin Tobin, CEO, European Recycling Platform:
Martin Tobin is the Chief Executive Officer of the European Recycling Platform in Ireland. As CEO, he is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of ERP’s WEEE and Waste Battery compliance strategy across the country. Since joining ERP, the company has experienced considerable growth in membership, market share and continues to exceed waste collection targets.
Martin is a key member of the leadership team within the Landbell Group and supports the companies’ business development activities.
An active environmental advocate, Martin is a member of a number of active steering groups and a key contributor to the reform of Waste Management Policy in Ireland and Europe. An industry expert in environmental affairs , he is a seasoned speaker at conferences as well as a frequent commentator in the press and broadcast media.
Martin sits on the main judging panels for the Chambers Ireland Corporate Social Responsibility Awards and Excellence in Local Government Awards.
Martin is also a member of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Sustainability Research Coordination Group and is a founder member of the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) Electro Technical Committee on Environment.

Ali Sheridan, Former Country Sustainability Leader, Ikea
Ali has worked in sustainability for over ten years across the private, public and NGO sectors in Ireland as well as the UK and Netherlands. She is passionate about driving the transition towards a zero-carbon world and supporting business in their roles as change agents. Most recently, Ali held the role of Country Sustainability Manager for IKEA Ireland where she was responsible for the delivery of the People and Planet Strategy focusing on the circular economy, carbon reduction, healthy and sustainable lifestyles and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to this, Ali worked in the food industry as Sustainability Manager for Bord Bia and was also part of the inaugural group of Origin Green Ambassadors where she worked with PepsiCo, Subway and the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) Platform. She has also held roles in Bearingpoint and Green-Schools.
As well as supporting companies with their sustainability ambitions, Ali is founder of SUST, a social enterprise designed to help organisations and individuals gain sustainability skills.
Dorothy Maxwell, Head of Sustainability, Brown Thomas and Arnotts, Selfridges Group, Ireland
Dr Dorothy Maxwell is 20 years working in sustainability with businesses and government in Ireland, EU, Asia Pacific and the USA. She has an extensive track record in sustainable business having been Sustainability Director at House of Fraser, Walmart, Nike and now Brown Thomas Arnotts. She has previously worked as sustainability advisor to HRH Prince of Wales, McKinsey Centre for Business and Environment plus. In 2017 she became The Prince of Wales's Responsible Business Ambassador for London. An alumnus of UCD and Imperial College London, she has a PhD & MSc in Environmental Science. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. She lectures onsustainable business at Imperial College London and authors books, blogs and articles. Books published include Valuing Natural Capital: Future Proofing Business & Finance (Greenleaf Publications, 2015).
