Dublin Chamber have partnered with Ulster bank to organise a series of four Momentum breakfasts in 2020. The aim of the series is to give Dublin Chamber members & Ulster Bank customers, access to Dublin based start-ups and entrepreneurs that have successfully scaled their businesses.

Shane Ryan, Founder, Fiid 

After a career in international hospitality spanning 7 different countries, Shane returned to Ireland as a 25 year old with his sights set on creating something that had a positive impact. Working a busy and demanding job he found that there was always a glaring conflict between how he aspired to eat and how he had time to eat and so he set about creating a solution for himself. Obsessed with making real, delicious and nourishing  food accessible to everyone, the journey hasn’t been easy and his current business, fiid, is his third attempt at solving the same problem. 

Oonagh O' Hagan, Owner and MD, Meaghers Pharmacy 

Oonagh O’ Hagan is the owner and Managing Director of the Meagher’s Pharmacy Group in Dublin and the thriving online store meaghers.ie  Meagher’s has won countless awards within the pharmacy sector and is  one of Irelands “ Gold Standard” companies in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies awards.
Oonagh is passionate about pharmacy and retail and is always on the lookout for the next new trend in both healthcare and beauty. She is a board member and former chair of Retail Excellence Ireland, Ireland’s largest retail representative body. Oonagh credits the open and honest culture in Meaghers together with the proactive engagement with her customers as the two most significant factors in the rapid growth of the Meaghers business both in stores and online. 
Keen to reposition the role of the pharmacist in the Irish Healthcare system, Oonagh also holds board positions in the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and in the School of Pharmacy, Trinity College Dublin as well sitting on the Finance committee at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Oonagh is keen to promote and champion other female business owners and as such is a Lead Entrepeneur on the Going For Growth programme which supports Irish female entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses both here in Ireland and beyond.

 

Jim Cassidy, CEO, Code Institute 

Jim is the CEO of Code Institute and is an experienced CEO with over 20 years in leadership roles in Digital / Technologies related industries. A strong advocate for the importance of a robust talent and skills strategy in addressing digital transformation, he has a proven record in entrepreneurship, scaling and managing dynamic technology and software businesses. A founder of Lucidity Digital (Acquired by Dentsu Aegis in 2013) Jim joined Code Institute in 2016 and has seen the business become a leader in online education, with revenues growing over 1000% in the past 4 years. Code Institute now has 50 FTE, working with Governments, Corporate and reseller partners and is helping students from over 35 countries around the globe change careers to Software Development.
