On the morning Paul will give his insights and share his reflections on global challenges facing the UK and Ireland. He will give an update on the latest position in EU Exit negotiations and also speak on the significance of the UK Ireland bilateral relationship
Paul will also share with us his thoughts on the challenges of Covid -19 and Brexit, how new markets will have a key role to play in supporting business survival and business growth.
Paul was appointed the British Ambassador to Ireland in September and previously served as UK Representative to the EU's Political and Security Committee, UK Permanent Representative to the North Atlantic Council and as British Ambassador to Sweden.
Paul has also served in Paris and New York and has had a wide range of political and security roles in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
The Ambassador represents Her Majesty The Queen and the UK government in the country to Ireland. He is responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations and consular services.
