Daisy Ip, Director, UK, Benelux and Ireland, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
Daisy heads up the marketing and operational functions at the HKTDC’s London office, looking after the UK, Benelux and Ireland markets. She has been with HKTDC for the past nine years, working closely with stakeholders, trade associations and industry players to promote trade in all sectors between Hong Kong and the UK, Benelux and Ireland.
HKTDC promotes Hong Kong's two-way trade in goods and services with the world. It is a leading organiser on international trade fairs and conferences in Hong Kong, and of promotional events around the world. As a result of the global Covid 19 pandemic, many of these activities are currently undertaken in a virtual format or online. The Council operates business matching services which put enquirers in touch with suppliers, customers and potential business partners in Hong Kong. HKTDC's economists supply the latest market intelligence about business opportunities in Hong Kong, the Asia-Pacific and elsewhere.
Brendan Foster, Chair, Ireland Hong Kong Business Forum
Ireland Hong Kong Business Forum (IHKBF). The Forum was founded in November 2002 to enhance and increase commercial links between Irish and Hong Kong SAR businesses. Brendan, as Chair, oversees the running of the Forum. The aim of the Forum is to provide companies and individuals with an interest in Hong Kong the space to network, explore business opportunities, exchange views, and remain informed of developments in Hong Kong and China. The Forum organises a programme of seminars and networking events including business briefings with guest speakers, as well as hosting an annual Chinese New Year Luncheon, and organising missions to Hong Kong.
