Roundtable discussion on Apprenticeships - Online Friday 20th January 2023 @ 12pm

This event is closed.

Event Details

The OECD has called for the better incentivisation of apprenticeships for employers, as part of their consultation process in reviewing Ireland’s National Skills Strategy.
Dublin Chamber was consulted throughout this review and submitted the views of members over 2022.

The final results will be published sometime this year, with the OECD aiming to identify policies that will address current labour market difficulties felt by Dublin businesses by investigating the most critical challenges and opportunities for Ireland’s skills system.

We would like to invite you to a roundtable discussion at which businesses can share concerns or specific feedback on apprenticeships and their impact on your business. Your feedback will help us as we continue to lobby the Government on your behalf.
The roundtable discussion will be held online at 12pm on Friday, 20th January.

The session will last approximately 60 minutes, and we hope to have a robust exchange of views and sharing of business experiences.

The discussion will be based on your individual input and broadly framed by the following themes:

1. What are the most significant factors that would or do incentivise your business to offer apprenticeships?
2. What are the most significant obstacles facing your business in offering apprenticeships?
3. What is needed from government to support firms in executing the role of an apprentice employer?

Please register your interest in participating by emailing robyn@dublinchamber.ie. Attendance will be limited, so the remaining participant list will be filled on a first come first, served basis.
