Being physically active can reduce your risk of several types of cancers. Any activity is better than nothing, but adults should aim for 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week. This 30-day challenge is a great way to kickstart that activity, starting with 30 minutes of movement you enjoy - gym, swimming, running or yoga. So, get out, and get moving!”

Throughout the challenge participants will have their own online profile where they can track their daily activity.

Speaking about the challenge Certified Nutritionist and coach Jayne O’Toole says “This challenge is focused on developing sustainable healthy habits, urging people to make a commitment to improve their health and fitness. We hope it will motivate incorporating more positive habits into daily life that can support physical and mental health. 30 minutes of movement a day can have a significant impact on your wellbeing. The movement does not have to be intense, start from where you are at. It can be 30 mins of extra walking split into 2 x 15 mins intervals, it can be a swim, cycle, a hike with the family, yoga, a gym class, weight session or at home training. It’s your health, your choice and Your challenge so do it your way! Who knows what other positive changes it will lead to”
