Jamie Cudden, SMART City Lead.  Dublin City Council

Jamie established the regional Smart Dublin program in 2015, an award-winning urban innovation initiative leveraging new and emerging technologies to deliver better services for Dubliners. As the Smart City lead in Dublin City Council, he has a proven track record of bringing together partners from industry, start-ups, academia, and public agencies to attract investment and new ideas for piloting and scaling smart city opportunities. His experimental work has led to the creation of new business units within the City Council, notably for telecoms and drones.  Jamie has successfully established partnerships with leading companies such as Google, Mastercard, Bentley Systems, and OpenAI. In 2021 he was recognised as ‘Civic Innovator of the Year’ in Europe by Harvard’s Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TECH) and guided Dublin to runner-up position in Europe's Innovation Capital (I-capital) Awards as well as winning the EU Capital of Smart Tourism designation for 2024. Additionally, his work in establishing Dublin City Council's telecoms unit was recently cited by the World Economic Forum as a global best practice case study. 

Kieran McCorry, National Technology Officer, Microsoft Ireland

Kieran McCorry is the National Technology Officer for Microsoft in Ireland and has worked in the technology industry for over 30 years. He is a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences, is the author of four books, has presented multiple papers and articles, and holds several patents. He has a variety of degrees and post-graduate qualifications in computer science, law, corporate governance, digital policy, innovation and enterprise development, and data protection. He sits on several industry boards and Government forums, focused on technology skills development and strategic planning and is a Fellow of the Irish Computer Society.  


Anne-Marie Bohan, partner, Head of Technology and Innovation Group

Anne-Marie Bohan has over 25 years' experience in technology related legal matters, and is Head?of Matheson's Technology and Innovation Group. Anne-Marie brings together significant practical experience in advising on technology and privacy legal issues with industry and sector specific knowledge and an understanding of applicable regulatory rules and regulatory requirements. She advises on all aspects of technology, privacy and cyber security and e-commerce law, as well as outsourcings and contracted services, with particular focus on the requirements of regulated institutions and services providers. 

Alan Smeaton, Professor of Computing, DCU & Founding Director, Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics. 


Alan Smeaton is Professor of Computing at Dublin City University. He is a founding director of the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and has extensive experience in applications and innovations of AI in areas such as computer vision, machine learning, lifelogging, information retrieval and educational analytics. Alan is a regular media commentator on the development of AI and the use of technologies which underpin it. In January of this year he was appointed to the Irish Government's Advisory Council on Artificial Intelligence.
