Do you and your business want to take the next step in getting more involved with the Chamber and how your city is run?
10 positions are now available on Dublin Chamber Policy Council who are an advisory committee that contribute, lead and support the Dublin Chamber’s Lobbying agenda on behalf of Dublin Chamber members. Dublin Chamber Nominations Committee now call for nominations from senior business leaders within our membership who can play a key role in advocating for a competitive business ecosystem in a competitive Dublin. This year we are especially interested to receive nominations from leaders in technology, finance/insurance, pharmaceutical, engineering/construction and hospitality. The strength of Dublin Chamber’s advocacy agenda is underpinned by the organisational and sector insights of our Council, they inform high level public policy discussions at Dublin Chamber. What does Council do?
- Dublin Chamber relies on the active support of Policy Council members and their businesses.
- Members agree priority issues of common concern that impact their business, lend their expertise in identifying policy proposals and act as a sounding board for their sector
- They bring their expertise and that of their company in promoting the Chamber vision for Dublin in 2050, they contribute to a taskforce, research and agreement of the lobbying priorities and approve all policy recommendations adopted by Dublin Chamber.
- They support membership development and promoting the services of the Chamber
What’s the time commitment?
- A term on Council is 3 years.
- At a minimum, the Council meets 7 times a year and each member contributes to at least one taskforce, which will meet 4 times per year.
- Council members are generally much more engaged in supporting Chamber events, promoting the Chamber, its mission and vision, as well as the Chamber’s lobbying agenda.
How do I join Council?
- Nominees must be fully paid-up Dublin Chamber members and supported by two (paid up) Dublin Chamber members. Nominations forms to be completed in full and include a biography and ambitions statement.

- Deadline for return of nomination forms is 5pm Friday 31st January 2025.
What is the Process?
The Dublin Chamber Nominations Committee will receive all applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors who will then select and propose nominees for Council to the Dublin Chamber AGM on 26th February 2025 for ratification by Chamber Members.
