• Unlocking the secrets of project success by discovering the landscape of your project: legislation, policies, frameworks, methodologies, and tools and techniques that will set you on the path to success by knowing your environment.
• Diving into the project landscape to hone your project management competencies and leadership skills by exploring the knowledge areas and confidently translating the interaction to your team.
• Getting the inside scoop on project management methods and evaluating their effectiveness for managing the iron triangle of scope, schedule and cost. With a focus on scope tools, you'll be equipped to collect requirements, define scope baselines, and manage changes with ease.
• Mastering the art of measuring project performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the power of Earned Value Management (EVM) for scheduling and costs. By leveraging these powerful tools, you'll be able to stay on top of project progress, report to project sponsor take corrective action when necessary.
Vinette is an accomplished project management professional and lecturer with over 25 years of
experience in industry. Prior to her academic career, she held various management roles in project
management, including as project director for a leading engineering firm working on projects in excess of
€100m in Ireland and the UK. Currently, Vinette works as a project management consultant, advising
companies on project management processes and practices throughout the lifecycle.
Vinette has specialized in project process implementation and execution in various industries, including
construction, engineering, wealth management, and IT. Vinette served as a QQI expert on project
management. Vinette previously held the role of Programme Director in MSc Project Management at the
University of Limerick. She lectures and supervises research at MSc and MBA levels in project management
and sustainability, based on industry experience, research and global best practices.
Vinette's research interests include individual and team wellbeing, sustainability education, and
diversity and inclusion in project management. In 2017, she was awarded a presentation at the European
Association of Work and Organisational Psychology (EAWOP) for her primary research in Individual
Wellbeing in Project Virtual Teams. Vinette's PhD research area is The Impact of Sustainability Education on
Organisational Practices with Cranfield University in the UK.
Vinette is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Project
Management Institute (PMI) and the Association for Project Management (APM). In addition to her academic
and professional achievements, Vinette is passionate about promoting individual and team wellbeing. She
has organized and participated in several events and workshops to raise awareness of these issues and has
worked to develop initiatives to increase diversity in the field.
