Innovation and digitalisation are central to improving productivity and maintaining Ireland’s competitiveness. Government has signalled this priority clearly, with commitments in Budget 2026 to enhance innovation supports, alongside the publication of the Action Plan on Competitiveness, which places innovation, digital adoption and productivity at the heart of Ireland’s long-term economic strategy.
Against this backdrop, Dublin Chamber would like to invite members to participate in a roundtable discussion focused on how innovation and digitalisation are experienced by businesses in practice, and whether existing policy and supports are aligned with the needs of firms across Dublin’s diverse business community.
The roundtable will take place online at 12pm on Friday, 20th February. The session will last approximately 60 minutes and will centre on the contributions of participants. Each attendee will be asked to briefly speak on the following questions:
- How does your business approach innovation and digitalisation in practice?
- What are the main barriers to your firm investing more in innovation or digital technologies, and how well do existing government supports address your needs in these areas?
- What specific measures should Government introduce, through future budgets or policy initiatives, to better support innovation and digital adoption across the wider business base and not just R&D-intensive firms?
Please register your interest in participating by emailing eimear@dublinchamber.ie. Please note that attendance is limited to one representative per member company.
