Ireland’s Tertiary Education System, encompassing Further Education and Training, Higher Education, and Research & Innovation, is central to building the skills, knowledge, and innovation needed to drive business success and overall economic growth.
The Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science is now preparing a new Tertiary Education Strategy. This strategy will strengthen the links between education, research, and industry, ensuring the system evolves in line with the needs of different sectors Dublin Chamber will be making a submission to this consultation, and we want to ensure that your business voice is heard.
To help shape our response, we invite you to an online roundtable discussion at 12 pm on Friday, 12th September. The session will last approximately 60 minutes, and discussions will be guided by your insights and broadly framed by the following questions:
- How effective is the current tertiary education system in equipping graduates and trainees with the skills your business needs, and where are the biggest gaps?
- What practical steps would help strengthen collaboration between employers, further and higher education providers, and research institutions?
- How should the new strategy respond to long-term challenges like digital transformation, climate action, and competitiveness?
