As AI becomes increasingly integrated into the workplace, equipping employees with the right skills to use these technologies effectively is essential to realising their potential.
Budget 2027 marked welcome progress in addressing this challenge, with €150 million committed over three years to strengthening skills resilience, including AI readiness. The focus for Government must now be on ensuring that this investment translates into practical supports that respond to the needs of businesses.
To explore this further, Dublin Chamber would like to invite you to an online roundtable discussion on Friday, 13th November at 12 - 1pm. The session will last approximately 60 minutes and will be centred on the contributions of participants. Each attendee will be invited to share their perspectives on the following questions:
1. How is AI changing the skills needs of your business?
2. What are the main barriers preventing your business from investing in training and upskilling, and what would help overcome these?
3. With additional National Training Fund investment committed to strengthening skills resilience, including AI readiness, what training supports should Government prioritise, and how should these be structured and delivered (e.g. through programmes similar to Springboard+)?
